|
| |
| |
What
exactly will Director’s View™ help me with? Will it compress my
video clips or present them online? |
Answer:
You can use your Director’s View™ core files to build your theatre
and present your video clips online in a professional and customized environment.
Director’s View™ does not encode your video files
into flash video. You need some way of encoding flash video in order to use
Director’s
View™. |

|
| |
Is the charge
for Director’s View™ a one time charge or is it an annual
charge? |
The charge for Director’s View™ is a one
time charge! Once purchased, you can use Director’s View™ to create
as many theatres as you like. |

|
| |
Do I need to be a
technical person (web designer, IT guru) in order to use your software? |
Absolutely not! Director’s View™ was built
for non-technical people who want to professionally present video
clips online. If you can enter text in a word processor and upload
files to a website, then you can use Director’s View™! |

|
| |
How
long does it take to build a Director’s View™ theatre? Is there
a large learning curve? |
Director’s View™ is simple to use and most
customers become proficient at building their own theatres after
creating just one or two. Once you learn how to build a theatre,
it should only take you 10-15 minutes to compress your video, customize
your theatre, and upload it to your site. |

|
| |
What does ftp stand
for and why do I need to ftp files? |
ftp stands for file transfer protocol, which
is a process you will use to upload files to your website. If you
own a web design application like Front Page or Dreamweaver, then
you already have an ftp program! If not, we recommend two ftp programs
that you can inexpensively purchase and use with Director’s View™.
Using ftp is simple to learn and will enable you to upload files
to your website, delete files on your website, and manage your website
directories. |

|
| |
Do
you also host the video files? I currently don't have a website or
hosting provider yet. |
We do not host video files,
however, we can recommend top-notch hosting providers that have met
our stringent requirements for being a trusted partner. |

|
| |
Can you extend Director’s
View™ for me? I would like to add functionality or change the user
interface. |
Yes, we can extend Director’s View™ to
meet your requirements and you can hire us on an hourly basis
or project basis. For example, we
can develop new functionality or we can build new interface elements
based on your project’s specifications. We always look to help our
clients push the envelope! |

|
| |
Is
Director’s View™ cross platform (both Mac and PC)? |
Yes, Director’s View™ is fully tested cross
platform and cross browser (for both building and presenting your
video clips). |
